Karen Balderson, a tough-as-nails producer, and her artsy director husband Robert, are making the leap from low-budget sci-fi into romantic comedy with a film based on their own love story.
But today is the rehearsal day for an interim breakup they had and they clash over the details of an alleged affair.
So they begin subjecting Mark Davies & Jennifer Heart Love, the poor actors playing them, to increasingly biased versions of the same ridiculous breakup scene, luring these lovestruck leads into a four-way battle for truth, validation and one dangerous question...

Victoria Souter
As "Jennifer Heart-Love"
Victoria Souter is a Leo Award–nominated actor for Bucketheads: A Star Wars Story...proof that saying "yes" to unexpected adventures occasionally works out rather well. Her screen work includes an upcoming Netflix hockey drama series produced by 21 Laps Entertainment, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Five More Minutes: Moments Like These, The Neighbor in the Window, Sacred Lies, and numerous independent films. A Vancouver-based actor and improviser, Victoria has performed with Dirty Little Secrets in both New York City and Vancouver. Following her appearance in last year's Improvised Fringe play Wit & Whimsey, she is delighted to return to the Festival in the original play Love (Manipulated) with an awesome cast and crew. Audiences can also catch her at the Fringe in Canon Fires: An Improvised Musical. Away from the stage and screen, Victoria is easily distracted by good music, good company, and any excuse for an impromptu dance.
After a career in management consulting spent solving business problems, Kristen has happily traded boardrooms for backstage, finally giving in to her lifelong love of theatre. Along the way, she discovered—much to her own surprise—a true passion for improvisation, and has performed with Tightrope Impro Theatre Company and Instant Theatre. She also had the thrill of playing her dream role, Queen Gertrude, in Hamlet with Harlequin Theatre—proving that all those years in corporate meetings were excellent preparation for surviving the Danish court. Kristen extends her heartfelt thanks to this incredible company—cast, director, and crew—for their talent, generosity, and support. It's been a joy and a privilege to share the stage with such wonderful people.

Sam is an actor and theatre maker from London, UK. Theatre credits include Sister Act (TUTS), Legally Blonde (TUTS), Steamed (Wardrobe Theatre), Steves And Wooster (Bristol Old Vic), Murder She Didn't Write (Degrees Of Error), Dirty Picnic Club (Bristol Improv Theatre), and The Dolls Of New Albion (Paul Shapera). He was the co-founder and director of improvised shows This Is Your Musicaland Last Day On Earth.

After a 12 year hiatus from performing in the theatre, Love (Manipulated) has enticed Greg with this wonderful role of Robert to venture back out on the boards … he has been busy acting on film and television……. His most recent performance was guest starring as Waylon on Wild Cards fourth season… he’s so excited to work with this wonderful cast…. Oh and of course, the incomparable writer Director!!!!
